Last held pre-Covid in 2019, the Haldon Relays by City Runs were back on Friday evening with 43 teams of four runners taking on a lovely 3km undulating loop around the Haldon Forest trails. There was a great turnout of ORCs with three teams. Age categories were determined by the youngest team member, so many ORCs were running in categories well below their age!
Senior Men (M18-39) – Sam Priday, Eddie Kingdom, Charlie Temperley and Chris Turner
M50-59 Men – Ian Ripper, Simon O’Neill, Danny Heggs, Paul Evison
Senior Ladies (F18-39) – Sarah Marvin, Claire Grubb, Carole Loader and Claire Watkins
Brilliantly organised and a great fun, well supported evening that was enjoyed by all.The Senior men’s team did brilliantly in a competitive field finishing 5th team overall in a time of 45:55. The Senior ladies’ team were next ORC team home in 28th place overall (age category 3rd) in 54:34 followed by the M50 men’s team in 33rd place overall (also age category 3rd) in 57:53.
