Ten mile road races are rather like buses – there are none at all then two on the same day – the Braunton 10 and the Storm Force 10. Andy Vallance finished in a great 7th place overall at Braunton and there were prizes for Roger Voaden who came in 2nd MV50 and Paul Carter 3rd MV50 while Marilyn Cooper was 3rd FV60 at the Storm Force 10.
Jeremy Tandy was delighted to finish 3rd overall in the Dartmoor Challenge Marathon even though he ran too far and did three extra river crossings due to problems seeing the trail markers! He managed to stay in front of the runner who was chasing him up the final hill – thanks to his family waiting in the wind and rain who were cheering him loudly as he climbed the final hill to the finish at Saltram House – well done Jeremy.
This weekend will see February’s Run in the Park and the Fulford 5 – best of luck to all those attending.
