Organised by Outeredge Events this race is 50 miles of National Park and compliments the Dartmoor Way Full Circle 100 mile event. The DW Granite 50 skirts the eastern section of the moor and crossed several sections of open moorland. The race begins in Scoriton on the High Moorland link section in the south of the moor. From here it follows the way marked trail south and then in a gradually Northern direction to Bovey Tracey, Manaton, Mortonhampstead, Chagford and onto the finish in Okehampton.
Missed from last weeks race report but too much of an epic feat of endurance to be missed from this:- Eddie Kingdom was the only club member to tackle it. He was lucky with the weather and whilst it was extremely wet underfoot he had pretty much perfect conditions with sunshine and cloud for the day. Eddie finished in 11 hours 52 minutes in 24th place overall.
